STRUCTURE & DEVELOPMENT

  • Language: Pandav Vidhya Shaala follows the national curriculum in gujrati, preparing the your children for GCSE ( by the OCR board) qualifications, which include reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
  • Teaching: Our teachers know how hard it can be, to truly grasp the mind of a young child. However, we’ve managed it! With the help of flashcards, stories, songs and dances, we make learning here fun, no matter the age. Also the teachers have access to past OCR GCSE papers which they use for practice to get the students used to the kinds of skills they’ll need for GCSE. All our activities develop core reading, writing, speaking and listening skills from a young age so that when the children get up to the higher levels, they’ll have a strong foundation.
  • Tests and Exams: Students will be tested at the end of each term, so the teachers can then tell you what your children’s next steps in learning gujrati can be whether it is moving them up a level, moving them down a level so they can strengthen their base, or keeping them at the same level so that the student is fully confident.
  • Hindu Dharma: Unlike other gujrati schools, we also teach Hindu dharma. This
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to collect their children from the school hall by 12.00 pm. WHGGS takes no responsibility of the child/children dropped/collected from car park or outside of the school premises.
  • The School Rules: Strict School Rules are applied. Students are required to show respect to the School, Teachers, Governors, property etc. Specific conduct is required and unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
  • Cultural Development: We ensure that all the children are aware of the significance of each major festival eg. Navratri, Diwali, and Christmas to name a few. This is achieved by each class taking it in turn to present them in assembly after the occasion. To further develop the Gujarati culture we organize several cultural events and fun days throughout the year. Plays, separate events are also organized to encourage children to participate in festivities. The school’s children’s committee organize an annual outing. To name a few we have visited Gulliver’s Kingdom, Cadbury’s World, Bhaktivedanta Manor, run a kite flying event, Westminster Parliament, charity walks, fund raising event, organized several picnics and many many more.
